Youth Day Tournaments at DDV

Youth Day Tournaments 2025

In 2023, DDV organized four Youth Day Tournaments for the first time, and this year we are organizing many more again. Youth Day Tournaments are quite new at the KNLTB, so it took a while for junior players to find the day tournaments on the KNLTB Tournaments website . However, the number of registrations grew with each tournament, until the last tournament was completely full. The KNLTB is so enthusiastic about this tournament format for youth that they have made a video featuring one of our youth day tournaments.

Registration for the youth day tournaments for this season is open. Mark them in your calendar and play along:

May 4, 2025: DDV Pokémon Youth Open Tournament
June 6, 2025: DDV Dragons of Berk Youth Open Tournament (register here)
August 24, 2025: DDV Minions Youth Open Tournament (register here)

It is pretty cool to be able to host a youth tournament on 15 beautiful courts. When the sun is shining, there is nothing more enjoyable than standing on the sidelines and watching some fantastic tennis matches, or sitting on the lovely terrace with a nice drink.

We organize great schedules for every level. For example, for Red Ball and Orange Ball, we organize a special joint warm-up with some tennis games on the court before the matches begin. Red and Orange Ball matches are well supervised by the match officials.

Off the court, we also have a fun drawing competition for Red and Orange players to participate in, where prizes can be won, and a super tasty cake decorating activity where everyone can then enjoy eating their own creation.

For Green Ball and Yellow Ball players, the matches are becoming a bit more exciting again. Green Ball and Yellow Ball players up to and including age 14 play matches of 2 sets to 4 won games with BPS (Decisive Point System). At 4-4 in games, a deciding tiebreak is played. At 1-1 in sets, a deciding tiebreak (to 7 points) is played.

Yellow Ball players aged 13-17 play matches of 2 sets to 6 won games with BPS (Decisive Point System). At 6-6 in games, a deciding tiebreak is played. At 1-1 in sets, a deciding super tiebreak (to 10 points) is played.

In addition to tennis matches, you can also play table tennis, and games are often played around the court with larger groups. This way, you can keep training your amazing hand-eye coordination. And you can compete for the contents of a big candy jar! Everyone can try to guess how many candies are in the jar; the person who is closest wins the candy jar!
